Sunburn in November
22 Nov 2010
November is a month when many people are sunburnt. The amount of sunlight falling on the skin in November is the same as in February but because the days are often cooler than in February, people may forget to protect themselves and their children from the sun.
'Slip, slop, slap, seek and slide' are the catchwords of important messages about sun protection:
- Slip – on protective clothing
- Slop – on sunscreen
- Slap – on a hat
- Seek – shade
- Slide – on sunglasses.
